Apparently according to the NLP site, Peter Overton and Lloyd Hume have followed Alan Walker and joined us at Bromley.

Anyone listening to Radio Kent on Friday will know that Hamid Barr made it pretty clear that decision time will be later this week when Alan Walker who proffesses to wish Tonbridge Angels every success in the future will start assembling his Bromley team at the expense of ours. At no time in his first interview as Joint Manager did Hamid take the opportunity to calm the rumours that there will be several Bromley players without a job in the next few weeks. I for one was dissapointed at the tone of the interview, and took it to mean that they will be on there bikes very soon.
So where does that leave us? Without a Manager, worse no team, some of our finest young players who have come through the youth such as Brendon, Luke and Paul Ainsworth who we still regard as one of ours, even though Mr Walker thought it would be a good idea to give him "first team experience" just a few weeks before not agreeing to budget cuts thus basically losing him, vulnerable to other clubs because of the obvious uncertainty at Lonmead.

Now is the time for the head man at Tonbridge i.e.the chairman to dictate the pace of the changes that we all know are coming. The board must now find out unequivically who wants to stay and who doesn't, and based on that information and if neccessary advertise the post of Team Manager, and it must be done very quickly or we could end up out of the top 8.
Lastly I would like to say this. The team that Alan Walker built was a fine one but in the end the club is bigger than any group of individuals, and by that I mean any group including the board. The article in the Kent@Sussex Courier on Friday indicated that a bid was made by a friend of Walkers for the club maintaining the present budget for the season. This bid was rejected because our "shareholders" would not agree to it. Well call me old fashioned and all that but I believe that these people should tell us why. If they are prepared to play power games with the football club at least come on the forum and tell us what was behind both the bid and the decision to reject it. Over the next few weeks I cant help feeling that any support for both the chairman and the "shareholders" will be severely tested.

Alan,

Would just like to say a big 'Thankyou' for all your efforts whilst in charge at Tonbridge. Longmead has been an exciting place to watch football over the past two seasons and you will be sadly missed by all those who enjoy attractive flowing attacking football. Good luck for the future.

DA

ps: Good luck to Hamid and Tony for the rest of the season
