I am pleased to announce that Alan Walker is still the manager of the club. Following a meeting after Saturday's match Alan , Lloyd Hume and Peter Overton agreed to remain at the club ,certainly until the end of December , without wages for this time. This is a magnificent gesture of support for the club and ensures all the other players at the club will be paid and therefore hopefully will not leave . This has given the club the opportunity and some time to seek further investment/sponsorship to continue our progress this season . We are through this difficult time but I would like to thank the vast majority of the supporters for their help and extend this to Alan , Lloyd and Peter.

Thanks Paul, and a huge thankyou of support to Alan, Lloyd and Overs! Lets just hope we can sort something out in terms of sponsorship before the end of december, is there any further development on this Paul??
The team and management have continued to show their support to the club so lets ALL do the same for them at Kings Lynn!
Come on you Blues.

Superb news and what an excellent gesture on the part of Alan, Lloyd & Overs. Hopefully all the players will therefore stay at least for the time being and we can continue to pick up the points starting this Saturday at Kings Lynn, although clearly that will not be too easy. Hopefully the first half team from Saturday will turn up and not the second when we nearly threw away the 3 points.

Finally some good news...I dont think this club would be the same without Alan Walker....(I mean what about that kick ass chant that Dan came up with on Sat!)
*sighs with relief*
Come on you blues!!!!
- p.s. I am sure we will get through this difficult time PD...I mean we are a good team with a huge number of dedicated supporters.

Absolutely fantastic news (although another critical month is ahead both on and off the pitch). As with the postings before huge thanks to Walks, Loud and The Knife. Let's try and get 50-100 to Kings Lynn and really give us a journey home to remember unlike last year. We have proved that we (players, management and fans) really are the lids !!!!
We r the lids, we r the lids, we r, we r , we r the lids

Really impressed by the gesture of the management team offering to stay under those terms Really good news. Full credit also to Paul, lets not underestimate the fantastic efforts that he is putting in to the Club . I am sure that Pauls efforts have played a significant part in the offer of Alan Walker and his team to stay for now.
Thanks to all of you

can only add to the growing list of thank you's to all concerned - great news, particularly as I'm sure certain 'rivals' would have been eagerly anticipating bad news. What a shame for them!
just got to pray for some sponsorship interest....

thanks once again to the superb gesture by alan, lloyd and peter. Lets hope by the end of december we have a new sponsor online and that we can look forward to one of best years of Tonbridge Angels life. It is, without doubt, due to the support shown by all of us on here and at the ground that the players and officials of the club are prepared to stick it out for as long as is humanly possible and to see us through this bad and worrying patch. It is understood and i think respected by most reasonable thinking supporter that we cannot expect the players and staff to stay on without pay ano/or cuts that they cannot swallow. Who of us would take a 20/30% drop in our pay to keep doing the same job. Answer none of us. So once again Thankyou to all concerned who are supporting and essentially keeping the club afloat.
Hope to see many of you at Kings Lynn on saturday..
Clivey

There's at least one way we can show our appreciation for this - get as many people down to Longmead for the December home games as we can.
I know it's Xmas and all that but.....

what great news. On Saturday I posted it was time for people to stand up and be counted , well Alan LLoyd and Ovey have done that big time. Lets hope the players get 100% behind them and we get the right result on Saturday -withnteam spirit as it should be KL will be cacking themselves. And as Tone says lets get behind the lads against Folkestone

Don't be silly. You'll finally meet your match on Saturday and your season will go downhill from then on.
