I am a little disappointed at the attitude of the board and Paul, we are top of the league by a considerable margin sponsors should want to sponsor us and with less negativity this may well happen; along the same lines the club should not allow companies to use its name for free as this would put off potential sponsors if every company is linked with the club, decrease supply this increases demand. Also the negativty shown by the public admission by Paul is leading to Walker considering his position 1) we certainly don't want to loose him 2) what sort of affect is this having upon the players?

As supporters, we are all upset that at a time when all the news should be positive, with the team doing so well, the club has had such a bad week of headlines, courier, ceefax etc. I think though, that it is extremely unfair to blame the board, and Paul Dainty in particular, for the failure to attract a new sponsor, the free publicity given by KFM over the past few weeks has been good to listen to,and it has not always been tied in with the window company's advert. Unfortunately it seems that there are not enough people in Tonbridge who care if the club thrives, and we have to face the harsh truth that the gates alone cannot sustain the wage bill(I have to admit I was shocked that it was as much as quoted)and just pray that a sponsor emerges to keep the best manager and squad of players that we've had for decades.

I am not blaming the board or Paul in particular, as they have shown the ambition that has been severely lacking in previous spells; I am however a little disappointed at the way the whole situation has been handled; firstly the board must have been aware that the Brewers term of sponsorship was coming to an end in october along time ago it should have been then that a new sponsor should have been agreed (Manchester United secured Nike as kit sponsors whilst umbro still had almost a year left to run on their deal, whilst we are not Man U this is the right way to go about things), now that we are in this predicament we are ill advised to go looking for a sponsor in a cap in hand manner like a charity case that it now seems financialy we are, possible sponsors should have been made to think they needed to secure the club before someone else did. We were 14 points clear a few weeks ago that should have been an ideal opportunity to advertise the fact that Brewers term was coming to an end. The way it has been handled we will be lucky to keep the manager and playing staff let alone the club afloat.
